Our hut is closed!
We cordially welcome you to our family hut! Our hut, Vaciara, is situated high up in the peaceful mountains, beneath the impressive 2,875 meter tall Sasso Putia. At the elevation of 2,090 m, our hut offers a spectacular view of the alpine mountains. It is located in the midst of beautiful and tranquil Dolomites, far away from the fast pace and frenzy of our everyday lives. The hike to our hut will be rewarded with breath-taking scenery.
Our hut is open daily from the middle of June to the middle of October (when weather conditions permit). We are an ideal place for guests who want to enjoy good food and rest. From the hut, guests have an exceptional view of the most famous peaks in the area: Piz da Peres, Lavarella, Lagazuoi, Puez, Civetta and others. Lean back, put your feet up and refresh yourself with a delicious drink and a tasty treat!
Many hiking trails lead to Ütia Vaciara. Starting from Passo delle Erbe, the trail circles around the Sasso Putia and takes approximately 4 hours; or hike directly from Passo delle Erbe to our hut in 3 hours round trip. For well-trained guests, we recommend climbing up the Sasso Putia (an additional 1.5 hours). You can also reach our hut from Longiaru: hiking from Valle dei Mulini to the Vaciara hut and continuing around the loop (approximately 4 hours), or from Ví and returning the same way (approximately 2.5 hours).
The murmuring stream and the Sasso Putia massive will always accompany you on either of these wonderful hiking tours.
We do not accept table reservations, but we kindly ask organized groups (with more than 15 people) to notify us in advance if they would like to take lunch at our hut.
